This course offers an historical survey of key innovations and modes of entrepreneurship across industry sectors. It draws on the many cultures and histories of entrepreneurship, as well as relevant policies and their effects upon innovation, in an effort to discern the leading edge of innovation in today's world. The course also considers the relationship between entrepreneurship, ecology, and societal challenges: suggesting that one's entrepreneurial endeavor can become one's embodied ethical life. The course format will be a mix of lectures, student-led discussions, as well as guest lectures.
